Faith leaders conference on cholera underway in Lilongwe

Faith leaders are in Lilongwe deliberating on the cholera situation to complement government’s efforts in combating the outbreak that has affected all the country’s 29 districts with a national fatality rate of more than 3 percent. UNICEF, WHO and Ministry of Health specialists on diseases are some of the presenters at the conference, which among others, will also reflect on faith leaders’ interventions on the outbreak. Deputy Minister of Health Halima Daudi is the guest of honour. The event has been coordinated by NCA/DCA and the Faith Community with financial support from UNICEF.
