Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) leader Peter Mutharika has said the party will only come back to power in 2025 only if it chooses the right leader at it’s party convention.Speaking tonight at the party’s Fundraising Dinner and Dance at Mount Soche Hotel in Blantyre, Mutharika who is also the former country’s president stressed that the next DPP leader should be chosen based on his competence and not on tribal lines.He says Malawians have now realized that they made a mistake in ushering the Tonse Alliance government and therefore the next DPP leader should be the one who would competently govern the country and manage the economy.He also said as a party, they should have a clear message come 2025.
