NCA/DCA inject Kl00 million into cholera response

Norwegian Church Aid and DanChurchAid Malawi joint programme has announced a K100 million worth of support towards the cholera response.Program’s country director Havard Hovdhaugen announced the financial support during a conference of faith leaders on cholera response in Lilongwe today. He said the funds will support three crucial areas of risk communication, research and access to clean water.In her remarks Deputy Minister of Health, Halima Daudi hailed development partners and faith leaders for their support in the ‘Tithetse cholera campaign’ which President Lazarus Chakwera launched last month.Daudi further said that it is everyone’s responsibility to take part in the fight against cholera and other diseases in the country.
