Easter message for the youth
By Fr. Chris Sichinga
Dear young friends,
Christ is alive! He is our hope, our joy, and our future. Let us celebrate with hearts full of life, because Jesus has risen, just as He promised (Matthew 28:6). This is not just a story from long ago; it is a living reality that changes everything for us today.
Easter is more than a holiday; it’s a call to action. The resurrection of Jesus is proof that love is stronger than death, forgiveness is greater than sin, and hope is more powerful than despair. He invites each of us to rise with Him, to live with courage, and to shine His light in our schools, families, and communities.
What does Easter mean to you personally? It’s a chance to renew your faith, to commit yourself to Christ in your daily life, and to dream boldly about the future. It’s a season to strengthen your Christian values and to let your joy be contagious.

But Easter is not only about rejoicing, but it’s also about sharing. Many people around us are poor, lonely, or struggling. They need your smile, your friendship, your prayers. They need to see Christ alive in you. This Easter, ask yourself: How can I bring hope to someone else? How can I show the face of the risen Lord to my friends, classmates, and neighbors?
Rejoice always in the Lord (Philippians 4:4)! Even when life feels heavy, remember that Christ has risen, and He invites you to rise too. Don’t stay buried in fear or sin. Shine with joy, courage, and love. Let your life be a testimony that Jesus is alive.
Easter is a lifestyle, not just a day. We are called to be “Easter people” youth who live with hope, who spread truth and justice, who carry the joy of Christ into every corner of Malawi. Let us rise with Christ and change our mindset. Let us be ambassadors of peace, unity, and love.
Christ has died. Christ is risen. Christ will come again. May your Easter joy overflow into your schools, your families, and your communities. May your laughter, your energy, and your faith inspire others to believe that Jesus is truly alive.
